Restructuring McQueen...

So this really is the week of restructuring your fashion house because we have finally learned who will be the creative director of the House of Alexander McQueen, Sarah Burton. Sarah has been with McQueen since 1996 and in 2006 she was named womens wear designer in 2000 and by womens wear i think they mean the clothes you find on the sales floor not the runway items as an example let's use the Fall 2010 collections...

This is the fall winter 2011 womenswear collection I'm asuming Sarah Burton designed these things and Alexander McQueen may have overseen them. These are things that will be readily available in stores

This dress below is designed by McQueen himself from the fall winter 2010 runway and is available probably at his boutiqes and other stores that have a clinetile that prefer the runway looks.

I hope that explained what I think the situation was...
Any who I'm glad that Sarah burton was appoited the creative director because she has been under McQueen's wings for 16 years and she knows the design asthetic and also has the abilities to create comercial wares as well so she could turn the house into a viable fashion house. i wish her all the best.

just read Cathy Horyns blog and she said that Burton is responsible for translating the runway clothes into more average looks for the comsumer...oh well then I'm really super duper behind this

Jean Paul Gaultier is doing WHAT????

This must be restructure you House week because Estrella is out at Ungaro and Giles is in and NOWWWWWWWWWWW Jean Paul Gaultier is OUT at Hermes..WTF why...??? Any who the new creative director will be Christophe Lemaire, whom was the creative director of lacoste, and it's said he will be taking Hermes into a less "avant garde" look. Uhhh Question, When was Hermes EVER avant garde? I always thought of them as rather classic and luxurious. OH MY i mean how does making polo's with little alligators and other casual items qualify Christophe to make Birkins?

One day your in...and the next day..well..ya know.

Earlier in the week ,wait actually yesterday..lol, it was confirmed that Giles Deacon was in fact the new creative director of the house of Ungaro. I love Estrella Archs spring 2009 collection

and her fall 2009 collection



but what she did for Ungaro spring 2009 ,with the help of Lindsay Lohan, was horrible.Okay I lie, it wasn't horrible but it did look like something you could get at a fast fashion place...SEE..
But she made me content with her second outing at Ungaro Fall Winter 2010 it was commercial and beautiful see below



But yea Giles Deacon has officially been appointed at Ungaro and he has said that he wants to take it to "Sultry, intelligent" place I'm excited to see what he wil do and hopefully he will keep the poufy skirts that made Ungaro famous to begin with.

Today i got a tiny bit of a shock thanks to Twitter from @Modelinia...A model just signed to IMG...Ummm Tyra Banks just re-signed to her former agency..along with a new model, Ariel Meredith, who was signed to Ford before her change of agency. Back to Tyra Banks, didn't she retire from modeling??? I hope this is a sign of something great to come IMG just signed two new African American models.

Christian Dior's latest resort collection was a beautiful, girly, youthful nod to the mod era of the 60's and I loved every bit of it. I love pink, I love shiny, i love frills...and I love poufy gowns...any who here are the pictures.

Going APE-SHIZ for ALEJANDRO!

As you all will soon discover, I am CARAZY! about Lady Gaga, her image is AMAZING! Something like a modernized Madonna with a psychotic twist. The fact that she's SO DIFFERENT and completely UNRESTRICTED makes her that much more appealing to me. I am SUPER EXCITED about the new Alejandro video. I love how she's ALWAYS DOING SOMETHING NEW! Compared to her past videos i.e. Telephone directed by Jonas Ackerlund, a movie director and Bad Romance, directed by another film director, Francis Lawrence, Alejandro will be directed by Steven Klein, a fashion photographer. In an interview with MTV, Gaga stated that ALEJANDRO will be about Fashion and Lifestyle and that Klein understands her 'love of the lie' in art and her "I am what I wear" lifestyle. As of now, im PATIENTLY waiting for photos of the video shoot to leak! I know patience is a virture but I JUST CANT WAIT! Thanks but no thanks so American Idol for having Gaga on the show and cutting 2 minutes out of her performance. Us Little Monsters, Appreciate it! My Latest Obsession

Ok, so I may be a tad bit late in the craze, but WHO CARES! I'm just thankful that I even DISCOVERED them. Eura is going to have quite the comical moment with this one, being that he's known about this AMAZING duo for years! Anywhoo, so you, may you ask am I SALIVATING over?! THE BLONDS, OF COURSE!
They remain incredibly INNOVATIVE during an era in which many designers are creating collections reminiscent of theier roots. i.e. John Galliano's Fall 2009 collection for Christian Dior.
They remind me of Richie Rich and Traver Rains, the dynamic duo that came togther and took the fashion world by storm with Heatherette! Yet, even as crazy and outlandish as Heatherette was, The Blonds are 1,000,000 times more extreme in every sense of the word.
So from now on, im officially tracking their every move! Im so in love (of course not more than my lover LADY GAGA!) but I am a tad bit enfatuated.
So for those who arn't too familiar with The Blonds, let me formally introduce you!
