Vogue Paris November 2009................Isabeli Fontana. Resort season is always my favorite season and this editorial of Isabeli is great I love the Marc Jacobs,Prada, and those raffia shoes I can't place them, but I love them. I also have the sudden urge to turn my fleece blanket into a coat.
......and theres some other stuff I like about myself too but the number one reason is sooo good because...............YES
Stella McCartney is doing a kids collection for The Gap.
she doesn't have a mens line but she did little boys clothes I fully plan on getting that band jacket and gold anorak. the girls stuff is cute too it's like little Stella McCartney copies.
So I'm surfing my usual fashion sites today and i find out that Candy Pratts Price is leaving www.style.com. Shocked, I know right? Candy Pratts Price is style.com so, I'm trying to figure out if there is going to be less editorial or are they hiring a new writer for all of Candy's columns and such? I just hope that she keeps contributing to Vogue as an editor..she's kinda great.
This picture isn't related I just love this shot of Jourdan from V magazine March 2009
This is what I think,John Richmond, I don't know much about the designer but his clothes are amazing and deserve to be on the red carpet 24/7 Yes,even his jeans.
I recently had a chance to smell this and all I could think about was a quote from Mean Girls, "you smell Like a baby prostitute,". I thought it smelled kind of oriental and oriental fragrances always smell skanky to me,but that's a good thing, this perfume has a powdery top so it just conjured up that quote. I liked it but then again Kate Moss can sell me anything.
Any whoHEREis a much better review of the perfume.
Marc Jacobs designed a collection based on "travelers—the movement that came after punk. Then we were thinking about hiking, trekking, and then denim and parkas—city utilitarianism." UMMM Ok wasn't that like right after the grunge when logo mania ensued? After seeing the collection I came to the conclusion that yes it was because well take a look....
The bags are what really caught my HEART I mean I am a label whore and I am so prepared for this to become a trend. The monogrammed denim clothes remind me of what Marc did for Louis Vuitton in Spring 2005.
I really haven't liked a Valentino collection since Valentino retired from the house in Spring 2008 ,well except for Alessandra Facchinetti's Spring 2009 collection, but what Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli presented for Spring was so different from the the house of Valentino's traditional codes yet all the typical house signatures were there and you could tell it was a Valentino collection without looking at it and saying "ummm, isn't that something that was done 10 years ago?"
I think I just really like ruffles and the lace,i t was so youthful and pretty. Those strips of leather pants those are like the best thing I've seen all month.
Phoebe Philo must have done something special at Celine because I never really noticed that they made clothes before.
I usually don't like leather during the spring but it was just cute I really liked the pants they were loose in the leg and fitted on the hip. The leather sheaths were super adorable and what I think Phoebe Philo is all about
